Majority of animal jam players are young and love animals. This site is also about educating them, and doing good for animals.
Which made me REALLY surprised at the whole Carnival/Circus theme for the summer advent.
I thought it was odd at first, the music reminded me of the cruelness in the movie Dumbo, but I thought maybe a carnival didn't necessarily have to mean circus. It started to really bother me when I saw actual CIRCUS items. Ring of fire, Circus ball and stand, Clown vanity. Seriously?
I'd like to assume that people know why circuses are terrible for the animals, but I guess not even animal jam staff knows?
Majority of circuses don't even give the animals minimal care, and are given basic needs only to get them to preform correctly. And if they don't preform correctly? Whips, tight collars, muzzles, electric prods, bullhooks, the list goes on. The animals are items for a business.
